Too busy to volunteer at the moment?

There is another way you can help to provide special care for families with special babies!

Along with some of the nurses, who we all know do much, much more than they have to, Featherweight Club's volunteers help to keep the Family Lounge at Mercy Hospital for Women tidy and welcoming.  There are always Odds 'n' Ends needed for the Lounge and other areas of Neonatal Services.  So, if you are moving house or undertaking some spring-cleaning, please have a look around and instead of adding to the trash, turn your unwanted goods into treasure! 

What Do We Need?

Cutlery, especially teaspoons.  (Where do they all go?!!)

Crockery, especially mugs

Drinking glasses

Children's story books

Packets of drawing pencils or crayons (new and unused)

Children's colouring books (new and unused)

Shampoo, toothpaste, soap and other toiletry samples to be put in emergency packs for new mothers

Please note:  Unless specified, items need not be new but must be of good quality and undamaged.  If you are unsure about the suitability of your prospective donation, please contact us to verify.
