Mercy Breastmilk Bank A breastmilk bank collects, pasteurises and stores donated breastmilk. Mercy Hospital for Women is establishing Victoria's first breastmilk bank and the Featherweight Club is proud to be a part of it! We know that not all mothers, for whatever reason, are able to provide breastmilk for their babies. The establishment of Mercy Breastmilk Bank increases the possibility that, one day, every sick and premature baby in Victoria who needs it will receive the next best thing to its own mother's milk - breastmilk from a healthy donor mother. Click on the above link to find out more about how you can contribute to this life-saving facility.
Mercy Health Foundation Mercy Health Foundation exists to secure philanthropic support and donations for all areas of Mercy Health. This includes Mercy Hospital for Women and the Featherweight Club. If you make a donation to the Featherweight Club it is processed by the Foundation. The Featherweight Club is not an independent charity. We rely on our volunteers and on donations received from the public to support the babies in Mercy Hospital for Women's Neonatal Services Unit and their families.
Mercy Hospital for Women Mercy Hospital for Women is recognised as a leader in maternity, gynaecology and neonatal care. Neonatal care facilities include a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and a Special Care Nursery (SCN) that provide care for sick and premature babies from all over Victoria and elsewhere in Australia. The Featherweight Club supports the babies and families of Mercy Hospital for Women's Neonatal Services Unit.
